Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Journeyperson Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in electrical systems, with a strong focus on high voltage applications. This role involves working on various projects, including installation, renovation, and maintenance of electrical systems in industrial settings. The Journeyperson Electrician will be responsible for ensuring that all work complies with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and industry standards.
Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment in compliance with NEC standards.
- Work with high voltage systems, ensuring safety protocols are strictly followed.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively to complete tasks efficiently.
- Read and interpret blueprints to determine the layout of electrical systems.
- Troubleshoot issues using logic controllers and ohmmeters to ensure proper functionality of electrical components.
- Collaborate with other tradespeople to build and renovate facilities as needed.
- Conduct regular inspections of electrical systems to identify potential hazards or areas for improvement.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as an industrial electrician or similar role with a strong understanding of electrical systems.
- Proficiency in reading blueprints and schematics related to electrical installations.
- Familiarity with high voltage applications and safety protocols associated with them.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex electrical issues using logic controllers and ohmmeters.
- Competence in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
- Knowledge of NEC regulations and commitment to adhering to safety standards.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
