Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Full-Time Physical Therapy Aide to support our clinical team. This role involves assisting with patient care, managing manual handling tasks, and ensuring smooth clinic operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, a solid understanding of physiology and anatomy, and experience in inpatient or post-acute care settings.
Duties
- Assist physical therapists with patient transfers, positioning, and movement techniques using proper patient transfer methods.
- Support rehabilitation care by preparing treatment areas, setting up equipment, and maintaining cleanliness.
- Provide exceptional patient service by greeting patients, explaining procedures, and ensuring comfort throughout sessions.
- Maintain patient confidentiality in accordance with privacy regulations and clinic policies.
- Help with intake procedures, including gathering patient information and updating medical records.
- Support manual handling activities such as lifting, supporting mobility exercises, and assisting with post-operative or injury recovery.
- Ensure all equipment is sanitized, organized, and ready for use in accordance with safety standards.
Experience
- Prior experience practicing in a physical therapy or rehabilitation role within a hospital or outpatient setting.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, and orthopedics to effectively assist clinicians.
- Experience working with geriatric populations or in inpatient environments is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with heavy lifting, acute care procedures, and post-acute care processes enhances performance in this role.
- CPR certification and understanding of physiotherapy principles are required to ensure safety during patient interactions.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with clients and healthcare professionals while maintaining professionalism and confidentiality.
- Previous exposure to hospital or inpatient settings will support successful integration into our team.

Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
