Duties:
- Assist attorneys in preparing legal documents, such as motions, discovery requests and responses, and proposed orders
- Conduct basic legal research and gather relevant information for cases
- Manage and organize legal files and documents
- Draft correspondence, memos, and other legal documents
- Assist with case management, including scheduling hearings and depositions
- Maintain calendars and deadlines for attorneys
- Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel in a professional manner
- Perform administrative tasks such as data entry, filing, and answering phone calls
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Paralegal Studies or related field preferred
- 5 years experience as a paralegal
- Strong knowledge of legal case management processes and procedures
- Proficient with Microsoft Word, Adobe Acrobat or FoxitPDF, Gmail/Outlook, and Google Drive
- Excellent proofreading skills and great grasp of spelling and grammar
- Strong phone etiquette and communication skills
- Knowledge of local legal administrative procedures and practices preferred
- Accurate data entry skills with attention to detail
- Understanding of various areas of law, including contract law
- Must bill 5 hours per day
