Responsibilities
- Perform thorough cleaning of floors using appropriate methods such as buffing, sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming to ensure a spotless surface.
- Conduct carpet cleaning procedures to remove stains, dirt, and debris, maintaining a fresh appearance.
- Apply floor care treatments including polishing and buffing to restore shine and extend the life of flooring materials.
- Maintain cleanliness of restrooms, hallways, lobbies, and other common areas through detailed janitorial practices.
- Use environmentally friendly cleaning products and follow safety protocols to promote a healthy workspace.
- Assist with inventory management of cleaning supplies and equipment to ensure readiness for daily tasks.
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards promptly to ensure swift resolution and ongoing safety standards.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in custodial or janitorial services, preferably within commercial or environmental services environments.
- Strong knowledge of cleaning techniques with an emphasis on floor care, carpet cleaning, buffing, and general sanitation practices.
- Ability to operate various cleaning equipment safely and effectively.
- Excellent attention to detail with a proactive approach to maintaining cleanliness standards.
- Good physical stamina to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods throughout the shift.
- Familiarity with environmentally friendly cleaning products and procedures is a plus.
