Southland Restaurant and Catering in Moyock, NC is actively seeking a n experienced fry/ grill cook. Need strength and organization and ability to work in a fast pace atmosphere. Must be able to handle large batch fried chicken orders. We have a reputation for The BEST Fried Chicken and Classic Country Menu with Carolina Style Pork BBQ and Comfort Foods and our customer base is local and also includes many families and travelers to and from the beaches of the Outer Banks seasonally. Need to be able to pull tickets, complete orders and plate food in a timely manner, maintain proper food temps, deep clean and filter fryers repetitively during the week and throughout each shift , and have a sanitary work station and serve all foods in a safe manner. Cooks will be on feet throughout the day, understand how to communicate with others and be a important part of our kitchen team. Shifts are generally 6 to 8 hours each and do not go past 8:30 p.m on Friday or Saturday and not past 5:30 p.m. on Sunday. Pay is based on experience.
