Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Land Surveyor to join our team and lead the measurement and mapping of land parcels, construction sites, and infrastructure projects. Duties
- Conduct land surveys using GPS, total stations, 3D scanners, and other advanced equipment to collect accurate spatial data.
- Prepare detailed survey drawings and schematics utilizing AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroStation, Revit, and Carlson software to visualize survey results effectively.
- Perform calculations involving trigonometry, algebra, geometry, and math principles to determine land boundaries, elevations, and topographical features.
- Manage GIS (Geographic Information Systems) data to analyze spatial information for land development and planning purposes.
- Execute ALTA surveys (American Land Title Association) and other specialized surveys for property boundary verification and title insurance purposes.
- Collaborate with civil engineers and construction teams to provide survey support during project planning, design, and construction phases.
- Utilize CAD drafting tools and schematics to prepare detailed plans that meet project specifications and regulatory standards.
- Operate Trimble, MicroStation, Civil 3D, Carlson, Revit, ArcGIS, and other industry-standard software for data processing and mapping.
- Conduct data collection using GPS technology such as Trimble units to ensure precise positioning throughout project sites.
- Support construction activities by providing layout services and verifying site measurements align with design plans.
- Maintain comprehensive records of survey data, field notes, reports, and project documentation for future reference and compliance audits.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in land surveying or civil engineering projects with a strong understanding of land surveying principles.
- Proficiency in using GPS devices like Trimble units along with total stations, 3D scanners, and other surveying equipment.
- Skilled in CAD drafting programs such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroStation, Revit, Carlson, and ArcGIS for creating detailed maps and schematics.
- Solid knowledge of trigonometry, algebra, geometry, math fundamentals essential for accurate measurements and calculations.
- Familiarity with GIS systems for spatial data analysis and mapping applications.
- Experience conducting ALTA surveys or similar property boundary investigations is preferred.
- Ability to interpret construction plans, schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings accurately.
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail in data collection and report preparation.
