JOB SUMMARY
The Physical Therapist assesses patients’ strengths, weaknesses, and functional limitations to develop effective, evidence-based treatment plans. Using current physical therapy practices, the Physical Therapist delivers high-quality care aimed at achieving superior clinical outcomes and improving each patient’s quality of life.
RESPONSIBILITIES

Deliver high-quality physical therapy care to optimize clinical outcomes

Prioritize patient care needs and manage caseload effectively

Provide direct patient treatment using evidence-based techniques

Evaluate patient history, physical capabilities, limitations, and rehabilitation potential

Establish and implement individualized treatment plans with functional goals aligned with physician orders and patient tolerance

Educate patients on treatment plans, home exercises, recovery expectations, and injury prevention

Document patient findings, progress, and treatment sessions in a timely and accurate manner
-
Provide ongoing progress notes and updates on patient condition

Manage patient discharge, including formal discharge or documentation when a patient self-discharges
-
Collaborate with physicians, clinical staff, and the healthcare team regarding patient progress and needs

Requirements:
QUALIFICATIONS

Graduation from a CAPTE-accredited Physical Therapy program

Current state license as a Registered Physical Therapist

Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Experience in outpatient orthopedics preferred

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Strong understanding of injury treatment, recovery, and prevention

Ability to lift up to 50 pounds

Ability to push, pull, carry, and lift equipment necessary for patient care
