The Dunham School is a private, college-preparatory Christian school serving students in Pre-K through 12th grade. Through the McKay Academic Center, the school's academic support center for students with learning differences, we offer "shadow" support for students who need it.
The McKay Academic Center of The Dunham School is accepting applications for part-time shadow/student support staff positions for the 2024-2025 school year. This role assists the teacher with supervising, caring for, and instructing students with special needs in the general education setting, implementing plans for instruction, monitoring student behavior, and providing information to appropriate school personnel.
The ideal candidate should have a strong desire to support students with exceptionalities. Your guidance will be instrumental in helping them navigate academic, behavioral, and social challenges, enabling them to meet expectations and successfully integrate into inclusion classes.
Integrating faith and learning is a key component of each Dunham classroom. Candidates should expect to be role models to students and mature in their professional growth and Christian faith. This integration inspires and motivates our students, and we seek candidates to uphold this tradition. Experience working with students in a school setting is preferred. Interested candidates should send a resume and cover letter to the Director of the McKay Academic Center, Ashley McIlwain, at [email protected]. NO PHONE CALLS please. EOE.
