Maintenance Technician – Multifamily Housing |
$26.00 – $28.00/hour| Full-Time | In Person
We don't just maintain properties — we enhance residents' homes. Are you the tech who can do that?
We're hiring a skilled, dependable Maintenance Technician to join our multifamily property management team. This is a hands-on role for someone who genuinely knows their trade — not just someone who can change a lightbulb and call it done.
If you can diagnose an HVAC issue on a hot afternoon, turn an apartment in a day, and still treat residents with professionalism and care — keep reading.
What You'll Do
- Diagnose and repair HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and appliance issues across apartment homes and community facilities
- Complete resident work orders accurately and on time — you'll be measured on response time and resident satisfaction
- Execute apartment turnovers: repairs, painting, cleaning, punch-out inspections, and final walk-throughs
- Perform scheduled preventive maintenance and property inspections to stay ahead of problems before they become emergencies
- Participate in an on-call emergency rotation (rotation shared across the team — not on you alone)
- Keep work areas safe, organized, and code-compliant at all times
- Communicate clearly and professionally with residents and management
What We Require
- 2+ years of hands-on maintenance experience in multifamily or residential property management — this is non-negotiable
- Working knowledge of HVAC systems, plumbing, basic electrical, and general repairs — you should be able to troubleshoot independently
- Proven ability to manage and complete work orders efficiently
- Strong interpersonal skills — residents will interact with you directly, and that experience matters
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Ability to lift up to 100 lbs and work indoors/outdoors in all weather conditions
- High school diploma or equivalent
What Moves You to the Top of the List
- EPA 608 certification (Universal preferred)
- HVAC certification or CPO (Certified Pool Operator)
- Experience with work order management software (Yardi, RealPage, MRI, or similar)
- Knowledge of OSHA safety standards and Fair Housing regulations
- Track record of fast, high-quality apartment turns
Your Compensation & Benefits Package
- $26.00 – $28.00/hour based on experience and certifications
- Health, dental, and vision insurance
- 401(k) with company matching
- Life insurance
- Paid time off
- Employee discount
- Professional development assistance and paid certifications
- Genuine opportunities for advancement into lead tech or maintenance supervisor roles
Why This Role Is Worth Your Time
Generic job ads say "competitive pay" and "great team." Here's what we'll actually say:
You'll have the tools, support, and resources to do your job right. Your work order completions and resident satisfaction scores will determine your path forward here — not politics. We invest in techs who invest in their craft, including paying for certifications that grow your value.
This is full-time, stable employment with a team that treats maintenance as essential — not an afterthought.
Heads Up Before You Apply
This role requires prior multifamily maintenance experience. Applications without it will not move forward. We're looking for someone who can contribute from day one, not someone learning the ropes on our residents' time.
If that's you — we'd love to meet you.
Apply today. Qualified candidates will be contacted promptly.
