Houseman / Maintenance – Hotel
SpringHill Suites by Marriott Temecula Valley Wine Country is looking for a dependable, hardworking, and team-oriented Houseman/Maintenance team member to join our hotel operations team.
This position supports both Housekeeping and Maintenance and is responsible for helping ensure the hotel, guest rooms, public areas, and facilities are clean, safe, and well-maintained.
Job Responsibilities
Housekeeping / Houseman Duties:
- Assist Housekeeping with cleaning and maintaining public areas, hallways, elevators, and back-of-house areas.
- Deliver linens, towels, amenities, and supplies to guest rooms and Housekeeping.
- Collect and remove trash and maintain clean and organized work areas.
- Assist with moving furniture, rollaway beds, cribs, and other items as needed.
- Assist Housekeeping with room preparation and other assigned tasks.
- Respond to guest requests in a friendly and professional manner.
- Assist with laundry duties and other Housekeeping needs as assigned.
- Maintain cleanliness and appearance of hotel grounds and common areas.
Maintenance Duties:
- Perform basic repairs and general maintenance throughout the hotel.
- Respond to maintenance requests from guests and hotel departments.
- Inspect guest rooms and public areas for maintenance issues.
- Assist with basic plumbing, electrical, HVAC, painting, drywall, doors, locks, fixtures, and other general repairs.
- Replace light bulbs, batteries, filters, and other basic maintenance items.
- Assist with preventative maintenance and routine inspections.
- Maintain hotel equipment, tools, and facilities in safe working condition.
- Keep maintenance areas and equipment clean and organized.
- Report major repairs, safety concerns, or equipment problems to management.
- Follow all hotel safety procedures and guidelines.
Qualifications
- Previous hotel housekeeping, houseman, maintenance, or general labor experience preferred.
- Basic knowledge of building maintenance and repairs preferred.
- Ability to troubleshoot and identify basic maintenance issues.
- Must be dependable, punctual, and able to work independently.
- Strong attention to detail and pride in maintaining a clean and safe hotel.
- Good customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work well as part of a team.
- Must be able to lift, carry, push, and pull items as required.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb stairs, and perform physical duties throughout the shift.
- Must be comfortable working in both indoor and outdoor environments.
- Must be willing to perform a variety of tasks based on hotel needs.
- Must be able to speak, read, and write English.
- Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.
Schedule & Availability
Open availability is required.
Candidates must be available to work:
- Weekends
- Holidays
- Various shifts based on hotel business needs
- Occasional overtime or schedule adjustments when necessary

We are looking for someone who is reliable, hardworking, flexible, and willing to help wherever needed. This is a hands-on position that requires someone who can balance Housekeeping and Maintenance responsibilities while providing excellent service to our guests and supporting our hotel team.
Hotel experience is preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate who has a strong work ethic, positive attitude, and willingness to learn.

Pay: $16.90 - $17.25 per hour
