Position Overview
The Front of House Manager oversees all guest-facing operations at Hollywood Blvd Cinema (operated by Reel Hospitality LLC), ensuring a smooth, professional, and memorable experience for every visitor. This position supervises box office, bar service, lobby operations, and all public and private events while maintaining communication between departments to uphold the standard of Reel Hospitality.
The FOH Manager serves as the primary link between the General Manager and the guest experience team — combining leadership, organization, and creativity to deliver excellence in service, efficiency, and event execution.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Guest Experience & Service Leadership
- Ensure that every guest interaction reflects the Reel Hospitality brand standard: friendly, efficient, and professional.
- Supervise and coordinate daily operations for box office, bar, ushers, and event staff.
- Resolve guest complaints, requests, or escalations quickly and professionally.
- Monitor the flow of guests during showtimes to maintain efficiency and service standards.
- Maintain cleanliness, ambiance, and overall presentation of the lobby and bar areas.
Operational Oversight
- Manage the scheduling, training, and daily supervision of box office, bar, and event staff.
- Oversee opening and closing procedures, cash handling, deposits, and POS reconciliation.
- Support bar inventory management, ensuring proper controls on pour cost and product rotation.
- Ensure compliance with all state and local liquor laws (BASSET-certified supervision required).
- Oversee box office ticketing accuracy, guest check-ins, and comp/redemption processes.
Team Development
- Train and coach staff in guest service, communication, and conflict resolution.
- Lead pre-shift meetings, ensuring all team members are informed of events, promotions, and showtimes.
- Enforce company policies consistently and fairly across all front-of-house departments.
- Foster a positive, motivated, and team-oriented environment focused on communication and collaboration.
Communication & Reporting
- Report directly to the General Manager of Operations with daily shift summaries and event reports.
- Track attendance, performance, and guest feedback to improve operations.
- Collaborate with kitchen and service teams to ensure smooth coordination of food and drink service.
- Maintain accurate records of guest incidents, comps, and feedback for review by GM and ownership.
Inventory
· All box office supplies, Merchandise, Gift Cards, Bar & Uniforms
Qualifications
- 3–5 years of experience in restaurant, cinema, hospitality, or event management required.
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple departments and priorities simultaneously.
- Excellent guest service instincts and ability to de-escalate issues calmly.
- Proficiency in POS systems (RTS preferred), scheduling software, and Microsoft Office.
- Valid BASSET and Food Handler certifications (or ability to obtain before first shift).
- Flexibility to work nights, weekends, holidays, and event hours as needed.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, and coordinate operations for extended periods.
- Lift or carry up to 40 lbs occasionally.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with variable lighting and sound.
Compensation & Benefits
- Competitive salary (typically $55,000–$65,000 annually, depending on experience).
