DUTIES:
Fitters/Foremen
- NFPA Knowledge required
- Work closely with General Contractors
- Communicate well with co-workers
- Follow all Safety rules & regulations
- Supervise & train helpers
- Able to operate threading machines
- Able to read blueprints
- Able to file electronic reports
Helper/Trainee
- Assist foreman/ and or fitter with installation and modification of automatic fire sprinkler systems
- Assist foreman and/ or fitter with installation of fire sprinkler systems in commercial buildings
- Learn to use project drawings to interpret fire sprinkler system installation requirement details
- Learn to thread and groove pipe, cut hanger rods, read blueprints, and use equipment for any specific jobs such as tools, lifts, etc
- Other duties as assigned by Foreman and management
QUALIFICATIONS:
Fitters/Foremen
- Applicants must have recent, hands-on experience installing fire sprinkler systems in the field. This position is intended for working fitters & working foremen who actively perform fire sprinkler installation duties on a daily basis. Candidates whose recent experience has been primarily administrative, managerial, project management, supervisory, or other duties without regular field installation responsibilities may not be a fit for this position. This is Not a non-working position.
- Fitters &/or Foremen must have a minimum 2 years of continuous and recent hands-on fire sprinkler pipe installation experience. Applicants must currently be performing field installation work.
- CSA Card preferred
Helper/Trainee
- Desire to learn a trade that can turn into a fulfilling and rewarding career
- Mechanically inclined with a willingness to learn
- Communicate well with co-workers and trade partners
- Self - motivated with the desire to finish projects on schedule
- Presentable individual with the ability to communicate and work well with trade partners
- Take pride in quality of work performed for our customers
- Must be a team player with the ability to work under experienced field personnel
- Safety Orientated
- Must be able to pass a drug screen
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 75 lbs
