Looking for a part time Finish TIG Welder.
This energetic position offers an exciting opportunity to work in assisting in the preparation and organization of materials and components. Your proactive approach will help ensure smooth operations, safety, and efficiency on the shop floor or in the pre-fabrication area. This position is perfect for motivated individuals eager to develop their skills in fabrication, mechanical work, and warehouse operations. If you are a motivated individual we like to promote from within. Hours can range from 10-20 hours per week, Monday - Friday, mornings or afternoons between 8am - 5pm working in a fully air conditioned shop. Could lead to full time employment.

Our central North Phoenix warehouse and sales office, conveniently situated off I-17, is equipped with many of the tools needed to build the best exhaust products available today. In this professional yet inviting work environment, we are currently seeking skilled craftsmen to join our team. Working on our team as a Muffler Assembler will include basic assembly, and fabrication of our mufflers.
While some tasks require a mastery level of experience, this is a mid level position where your experience and positive attitude, demonstrated competency and performance will quickly earn you advances to our higher level parts fabrication team. Qualifications:
- Weld bead look consistent
- Material = 304 stainless
- Mostly 1.5" to 4.00" tubing
- Have knowledge in the use of basic shop equipment including saws, grinders, drill press, etc. and production parts
- Capable of following written instructions and interpret shop drawings
- Capable of following required safety procedures
- Ability to work independently in a production oriented environment
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to prioritize, organize and multi task
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Self-starter with a willingness to learn
- Metal finishing (grinding/de-burr/polish) experience is a plus
- Must have excellent problem-solving skills, and work quickly, with high accuracy.
- Ability to think for yourself and work to improve the quality of product through craftsmanship and innovative thinking
- Have a professional demeanor and the ability to work with others.
- Have a clean driving record, valid driver's license, and reliable transportation
Responsibilities
- Ability to read, write, and speak English at a level of understanding that enables the following and transmission of oral and written instructions
- Properly stack processed material and pack as required in preparation for additional fabrication steps
- Assist with the loading, unloading, and movement of materials with the help of others
- Prepare pre-fabricated mufflers, according to specifications for assembly
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote safety and efficiency
- Operate machinery such as a TIG welder, saws, grinding tools after proper training ensuring proper use and safety protocols
- Support warehouse activities including inventory management, materials handling, and storage organization
- Follow safety procedures diligently during all tasks, including welding or working with other equipment
- On time attendance responsibility

Compensation
· $23 - $26/Hour (DOE)
Physical Demands :
- Exerting up to 25 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move object
- Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, walk, push, pull, grasp
- Prolonged standing, and/or sitting, and bending intermittently during work hours
- Is subject to frequent interruptions

Educational/Certification Requirement:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Welding certificate not necessary
