The Regional Director of Business Development is responsible for leading, developing, and implementing strategic initiatives to grow Swan Hospice’s presence and patient census across assigned territories. This role will oversee a team of liaisons/marketers, build strong community and facility relationships, and ensure business development goals are consistently met while upholding the values and mission of Swan Hospice.
Develop and execute strategic business development plans to increase referrals and expand market share within assigned regions.
Recruit, train, and manage a team of hospice liaisons, ensuring accountability for referral growth and community engagement.
Establish and maintain strong relationships with hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, assisted living communities, physicians, and other referral sources.
Collaborate with the clinical leadership team to ensure seamless communication and excellent service for new patient admissions.
Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and referral patterns to identify new opportunities for growth.
Provide regular reporting and analysis on census growth, referral activity, and business development metrics to the CEO.
Represent Swan Hospice at networking events, health fairs, and community outreach opportunities.
Ensure all marketing and business development practices are compliant with state, federal, and Medicare regulations.
Support the mission and values of Swan Hospice by promoting compassionate, patient-centered care.
Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, healthcare administration, or related field.
Minimum 5 years of hospice, home health, or healthcare business development experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
Proven track record of meeting and exceeding business development/census growth goals.
Strong leadership, coaching, and team management skills.
Excellent communication, relationship-building, and presentation skills.
Knowledge of Medicare/Medicaid regulations and hospice compliance requirements.
Willingness to travel across assigned regions as needed.
