Duties:
- Read and interpret schematics and engineering drawings to determine fabrication requirements
- Operate various tools and equipment such as plasma cutting machines and welding equipment
- Fabricate and assemble metal components according to specifications
- Perform welding tasks including MIG welding techniques
- Use hand tools and power tools to cut, grind, and shape metal
- Conduct quality control inspections to ensure finished products meet quality standards
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a fabricator/welder or similar role
- Certification in AWS D1.1 and/or AWS D1.8 and ability to pass in-shop welding test during interview
- Proficient in reading and interpreting schematics and engineering drawings
- Strong knowledge of MIG welding techniques
- Familiarity with operating plasma cutting machines and other fabrication equipment
- Ability to use hand tools and power tools effectively and safely
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
- Strong mechanical knowledge and understanding of fabrication processes
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
