KYZEN is seeking a detail-oriented Quality Control Lab Technician to join our Analytical Lab team at our global headquarters in Nashville, TN. In this position, you’ll play a key role in supporting quality control, production, and customer satisfaction by performing standard analytical testing on raw materials, finished goods, and customer samples.
Hours: M-F 8am-5pm
Key Responsibilities -
- Perform daily QC testing using titration, refractometry, FTIR, pH, conductivity, and other instrumentation
- Interpret and report results with attention to accuracy and repeatability
- Maintain detailed records and ensure proper documentation in accordance with lab SOPs
- Support formulation adjustments and troubleshoot batch discrepancies
- Assist in routine calibration and maintenance of lab instruments
- Participate in lab housekeeping, chemical inventory, and sample management
- Collaborate with production, R&D, and technical teams to ensure product consistency and quality
- Perform incoming raw material verification
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS
- Familiarity with basic wet chemistry techniques and safe lab practices
- Ability to follow SOPs, prioritize tasks, and work with precision
- Comfort working in a fast-paced production support lab
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite required. (Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, Biochemistry, or related field. Relevant lab experience can be substituted for education.
- 1 to 2 years of experience in a QC or analytical laboratory environment a plus, but entry-level candidates with a relevant degree are welcome
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to work with chemicals using proper safety precautions.
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
