Tennessee Truck Driving School trains the next generation of professional CDL drivers, giving students the skills and credentials they need to launch a stable, well-paying career in trucking. We're growing our enrollment team and looking for a driven, self-motivated sales professional to help more Tennesseans discover a career on the road.
About the Role
We're hiring an independent Sales Representative to recruit new students into our CDL training programs. This is a fully remote, commission-based role for someone who thrives on outreach, relationship-building, and closing. You'll work your own schedule and territory, connecting with prospective students by phone, text, email, and social media to guide them from first interest through enrollment. Success in this role means a steadily growing pipeline of enrolled students and a reputation as the person who genuinely helps people find their next career.
What You'll Do
- Generate and follow up on leads for our CDL training programs through calls, texts, emails, and social outreach
- Educate prospective students on program details, schedules, financing options, and career outcomes
- Guide interested candidates through the enrollment process from first contact to signed enrollment
- Maintain consistent, organized follow-up with leads at every stage of the pipeline
- Represent the school professionally and build trust with prospective students and their families
- Track and report on outreach activity and enrollment progress
- Identify local community connections, partnerships, or events that could generate referrals
What We're Looking For
Required:
- Must live in Tennessee
- Experience in sales, recruiting, admissions, or a similar outreach-driven role
- Strong phone and written communication skills
- Self-motivated with the ability to manage your own schedule and pipeline without close supervision
- Comfortable working independently as a 1099 contractor
- Reliable phone, internet, and computer/smartphone access
- Basic comfort with CRM tools, email, and text-based outreach
Preferred:
- Experience recruiting for trade schools, higher education, or workforce training programs
- Familiarity with the trucking or transportation industry
- Existing network within Tennessee communities
Compensation
This is a 1099 commission-based position — you earn a commission for every student you recruit who actually starts the training program (not just enrolls). There is no cap on earning potential; the more students you bring in who start, the more you earn.
