Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and provide attentive, personalized service throughout their dining experience
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring clear communication with kitchen staff
- Present menus confidently, highlighting specials and upselling additional items to enhance the guest experience
- Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining high standards of food handling, sanitation, and safety protocols
- Manage guest inquiries promptly, resolve issues professionally, and ensure complete satisfaction with every visit
- Assist with food preparation, bussing tables, and maintaining cleanliness in dining areas to uphold sanitation standards
- Handle cash transactions accurately through cashiering systems and process payments efficiently
- Support host/host duties when needed by managing reservations via OpenTable or similar platforms and coordinating seating arrangements
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth restaurant operations during busy nights or special events such as nightclub evenings
- Maintain knowledge of menu items, ingredients, and allergy information to advise guests appropriately
- Uphold food safety regulations and sanitation practices consistently throughout your shift
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred; fine dining or nightclub experience is a plus
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or similar platforms for order processing and cash handling
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly, energetic attitude and the ability to build guest rapport quickly
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy hours
- Ability to upsell menu items confidently while respecting guest preferences
- Basic math skills for accurate bill calculation and cash handling procedures
- Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling techniques
- Experience in serving or host/host roles demonstrating guest relations expertise
- Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays in a fast-paced environment
- Culinary experience or kitchen familiarity is advantageous but not required; willingness to learn is essential
