Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and highly skilled Commercial HVAC/R Service Technician to join our team! In this energetic role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of commercial heating, ventilation, air conditioning, refrigeration, and related mechanical systems. Responsibilities
- Perform routine inspections, troubleshooting, repairs, and preventative maintenance on commercial HVAC/R systems including air conditioning units, refrigeration equipment, boilers, and plumbing systems.
- Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and HVAC design documents to accurately diagnose issues and implement effective solutions.
- Utilize specialized tools such as ohmmeters and welding equipment to repair electrical components and mechanical parts.
- Conduct field service visits to client sites, ensuring timely response to service requests and minimizing system downtime.
- Maintain detailed service records, work orders, and documentation of all repairs performed for accountability and future reference.
- Assist with equipment installation projects by following blueprints and technical specifications to ensure proper setup and operation.
- Collaborate with team members on complex projects involving ammonia refrigeration systems or property maintenance tasks to deliver comprehensive solutions.
Skills
- Proven experience as a service technician in commercial HVAC/R environments with strong mechanical knowledge.
- Ability to read schematics, technical drawings, and HVAC design plans effectively.
- Knowledge of plumbing, refrigeration (including ammonia refrigeration), boiler systems, and appliance repair.
- Skilled in using diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters and performing electrical troubleshooting.
- Experience with field service operations including installation, maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of HVAC equipment.
- Familiarity with welding techniques and equipment repair procedures for mechanical components.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience operating <PERSON> driver vehicles preferred.
