Position Summary
The Inventory Clerk supports inventory control and material flow within the Shipping & Receiving department. This position is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records, receiving and issuing materials, supporting production schedules, and ensuring inventory is properly stored and tracked throughout the facility.
What You'll Do
- Receive, store, and organize purchased and manufactured materials in designated stockroom locations.
- Pick, record, and deliver job kits to support production schedules.
- Maintain accurate inventory records, including inventory balances, part identification, and location assignments.
- Rotate inventory using First-In, First-Out (FIFO) principles.
- Restock Assembly department Kanban locations from stockroom inventory.
- Perform cycle counts, inventory audits, and physical inventory counts; investigate and report discrepancies.
- Identify and report nonconforming materials following established procedures.
- Monitor stockroom activity and ensure all material transactions are accurately recorded.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives related to inventory accuracy and material flow.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Follow all company safety procedures and work overtime periodically.
- Preform other duties as assigned
What We're Looking For
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience with computerized inventory or manufacturing systems.
- Understanding of inventory control principles and material handling.
- Forklift experience required.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
- Strong analytical, mathematical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
Physical & Work Requirements
- Work in a clean, air-conditioned manufacturing environment while wearing required PPE, including safety glasses, gloves, and hearing protection as needed.
- Stand, walk, bend, kneel, reach, and handle materials throughout the workday.
- Lift up to 50 lbs. independently and up to 70 lbs. with assistance or lifting equipment.
