Duties
- Perform daily cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, trash removal, and restroom sanitation to uphold high standards of cleanliness.
- Conduct routine inspections of common areas, hallways, lobbies, and entry points to identify and address cleanliness or maintenance issues promptly.
- Support industrial cleaning projects when needed, including cleaning large equipment or specialized areas requiring custodial expertise.
- Ensure all cleaning supplies and equipment are properly stored and maintained for safety and efficiency.
- Collaborate with facilities management to coordinate cleaning schedules and special event preparations or post-event cleanups.
- Respond to any immediate cleaning needs during the day as required.
Experience
- Proven janitorial or custodial experience in commercial or residential settings is highly preferred.
- Experience in industrial cleaning or facilities maintenance is a plus.
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, safety procedures, and proper use of cleaning equipment (Osha compliance).
- Previous porter or maintenance experience demonstrating reliability and attention to detail is advantageous.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while adhering to safety standards.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
