Who We're Looking For: Grandfather Vineyard & Winery is seeking a friendly, energetic, and hands-on individual to help maintain the beauty, organization, and welcoming atmosphere of our Tasting Room. This role is perfect for someone who takes pride in creating memorable guest experiences, enjoys working outdoors, works well with a team, and can stay calm and focused in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
As our Estate Grounds & Operations Lead, you will help oversee and execute a variety of daily responsibilities, including:
Grounds Maintenance
Help maintain the natural beauty and charm of our estate. In collaboration with our team, you will assist with landscaping, seasonal planting, upkeep of outdoor spaces, and overall property presentation. Your work will help shape each guest’s first impression and create an inviting atmosphere that reflects the character of Grandfather Vineyard & Winery.
Opening and Closing Procedures
With help from other team members, you will execute opening and closing procedures with attention to detail, ensuring the property is clean, organized, prepared, and welcoming for guests and staff each day.
Team Support
Make sure the front-of-house team and events team have what they need to do their jobs well. This may include preparing spaces, moving supplies, assisting with setup, troubleshooting needs throughout the day, and helping maintain smooth daily operations.
Managing Part-Time Staff
On high-volume days, help guide, support, and manage part-time staff members. This includes helping delegate tasks, keeping the team on track, and ensuring work is completed efficiently and to the Tasting Rooms' standards.
