Duties
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics using automotive electrical systems, schematics, and advanced diagnostic tools to identify issues accurately.
- Conduct repairs on various vehicle components including engines, transmissions, powertrain systems, suspension, shocks & struts, brakes, and steering mechanisms.
- Execute routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire service, wheel alignments, and vehicle inspections to ensure safety and reliability.
- Repair or replace auto body parts and perform welding as needed to restore vehicle integrity.
- Service ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) and other automotive electrical systems for modern vehicles.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools efficiently to complete repairs with precision and safety.
- Maintain detailed repair records, prepare auto estimates, and communicate effectively with customers regarding repair needs and timelines.
Qualifications
- Proven mechanic experience with a strong background in automotive repair and maintenance.
- Dealership experience is highly preferred for familiarity with manufacturer standards.
- Knowledge of automotive diagnostics software and schematics for efficient troubleshooting.
- Skilled in diesel engine repair, auto electrical systems, transmissions, and powertrain components.
- Ability to perform brake repair, wheel alignment, suspension work, tire service, shocks & struts replacement effectively.
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other automotive maintenance tools.
- Strong mechanical knowledge combined with excellent customer service skills for engaging with clients professionally.
- Familiarity with GM vehicles or similar brands is a plus but not required.
