Responsibilities
- Prepare food items efficiently and according to safety and quality standards, including handling ingredients and using kitchen equipment.
- Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS to process sales accurately while upselling menu items to enhance customer satisfaction.
- Greet customers warmly, take orders with precision, and provide excellent customer service throughout their visit.
- Manage cash handling duties with accuracy, including cash register operation, change distribution, and balancing cash drawers at shift start.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of food prep areas, dining spaces, and equipment in compliance with food safety regulations.
- Restock supplies, organize food stations, and ensure all areas are ready for peak hours.
- Assist with bussing tables, food handling, and supporting kitchen staff during busy periods to ensure smooth service flow.
Experience
- Prior experience in food preparation or food service environments such as quick service restaurants or cafes is preferred.
- Familiarity with POS systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to handle cash transactions accurately and perform basic math calculations confidently.
- Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures.
- Previous restaurant experience or retail math skills will support success in this role.
- Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently during opening shifts.
