Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join our multidisciplinary healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess extensive clinical expertise across various medical settings, demonstrating proficiency in patient assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning. Duties
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and medical history reviews using EMR/EHR systems.
- Perform diagnostic evaluations and interpret test results, including radiology, laboratory data, and diagnostic tests .
- Prescribe medications and administer injections following HIPAA regulations and DEA guidelines, ensuring safe drug enforcement practices.
- Manage acute pain and critical care cases.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals on treatment plans, discharge planning, and clinical research initiatives to enhance patient outcomes.
- Provide telehealth consultations
- Document patient encounters accurately in electronic health records while maintaining compliance with HIPAA standards.
- Assist in procedural interventions such as suturing and incision and drainage
- Engage in health coaching, patient education on disease management including infectious disease care or geriatrics.
Experience
- Proven clinical experience in hospital medicine, emergency medicine, or urgent care settings with a focus on acute care management.
- Demonstrated proficiency with EMR systems for documentation and data collection purposes.
- Background in medical-surgical units or outpatient clinics involving primary care or occupational health is advantageous.
- Knowledge of CPT coding, ICD-9/ICD-10 coding standards for accurate documentation and billing processes.
- Strong understanding of anatomy, physiology, pharmacology related to pain management and medication administration.
