Join our dynamic team as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT), where you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with developmental and neurodevelopmental disorders, including autism spectrum disorder (ASD). This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children and their families by implementing evidence-based behavioral interventions. As an RBT, you will work closely with Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) to deliver personalized care plans, foster skill development, and promote positive behavior change in various settings, including home-based environments. Your dedication and compassion will help empower individuals to reach their full potential while gaining valuable experience in behavioral health and applied behavior analysis (ABA).
Duties
- Implement individualized behavior intervention plans under the supervision of a BCBA, ensuring adherence to ethical standards and professional guidelines.
- Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as grooming, dressing, feeding, and toileting to promote independence and self-care skills.
- Collect accurate data on client behaviors, skill acquisition, and progress to inform ongoing treatment planning and ensure compliance with medical documentation standards.
- Support children with autism and other neurodevelopmental disorders through engaging teaching strategies rooted in applied behavior analysis (ABA) principles.
- Maintain detailed medical records and documentation while respecting client confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
- Collaborate with families, caregivers, and team members to reinforce behavior management strategies across different environments.
- Participate in training sessions on special education techniques, behavior management, and ethical practices outlined in the Professional and Ethical Compliance Code for Behavior Analysts.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional coursework or certification in special education or behavioral health is preferred.
- Valid certification as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) through the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB).
- Experience working with children or individuals with disabilities, especially within home-based behavioral programs or ABA settings.
- Strong understanding of applied behavior analysis (ABA), behavior management techniques, and autism spectrum disorders support strategies.
- Ability to assist with ADLs and implement care plans effectively while maintaining patience and professionalism.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, medical records management, and HIPAA compliance is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with clients’ families, team members, and healthcare providers.
