H&C Construction Design and Build is a U.S.-based residential remodeling company specializing in kitchens, bathrooms, basements, additions, and full remodels. As a design-build firm, we manage projects from concept to execution with an unwavering focus on quality, efficiency, and client satisfaction.
This is NOT a conceptual design role; it is a technical execution role focused on developing permit-ready architectural drawings. Your work will directly impact project approvals, timelines, and revenue by ensuring the accuracy and completeness of permit-ready drawings and construction documentation.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop permit-ready architectural and structural drawings that meet local codes and standards.
- Produce comprehensive construction document sets for residential remodeling projects.
- Ensure compliance with International Residential Code (IRC) and local building codes.
- Work in coordination with structural and MEP inputs, with the ability to interpret and incorporate these systems into architectural drawings when applicable
- Review zoning requirements (setbacks, lot coverage, height) to ensure compliance.
- Respond accurately to comments regarding building permit applications.
- Perform rapid iterations on drawings to avoid delays in approvals.
- Maintain documentation integrity and version control across all projects.
- Support feasibility analysis for potential projects and design alternatives.
Qualifications
- Licensed Architect or equivalent.
- Ability to provide signed and stamped drawings required for permit submissions.
- Proven experience with residential projects and permitting processes.
- Demonstrated experience obtaining and managing building permits.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD (required).
- Experience with Revit (preferred).
- English: Advanced Professional Proficiency (Required)
- Spanish: Desired (not required).
- Experience developing or understanding MEP drawings is a plus (not required).
