Responsibilities
- Supervise all warehouse activities including shipping, receiving, inventory management, and materials handling to ensure operational excellence.
- Lead and motivate a team of warehouse staff, fostering a positive work environment through effective team management and managerial communication.
- Operate or oversee the operation of material handling equipment such as forklifts and RF scanners to facilitate safe and efficient movement of goods.
- Maintain accurate inventory records using warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory control procedures to ensure stock accuracy.
- Coordinate logistics activities related to distribution center operations, including shipping & receiving schedules and carrier interactions.
Experience
- Proven experience in warehouse management or supervisory roles within distribution centers or similar environments.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse distribution processes, inventory management systems, and logistics operations.
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams effectively, with excellent communication skills for managing personnel and coordinating with cross-functional departments.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office tools for reporting and documentation purposes.
- Prior experience implementing process improvements using lean management techniques is highly desirable.
