Job Summary:
Experienced and professional Glazier needed for installation of custom glass products. Will be responsible for installations, fabrication and templating of shower doors, mirrors, glass railings, wine enclosures, replacement IGU's, and interior commercial office. Heavy lifting is required. Dependability and attention to details is a must. Ideal candidate will have a clean driving record and possess the ability to work professionally with clients and in stressful situations. Excellent communication skills needed.
Duties:
- Provide reliable, high-quality customer support and consultation while on the job site.
- Perform installations, upgrades, and additions for glass shower doors, wine room enclosures, glass railings, custom mirrors, glass countertops, and other projects.
- Install metal framework and hardware.
- Read and interpret blueprints and CAD drawings.
- Maintain necessary truck stock/inventory with the warehouse team.
- Organize and utilize technical resources, materials, and support for efficient task execution.
- Monitor and ensure progress and completion of tasks.
- Complete and submit all task-related activities, productivity, and documentation timely.
- Demonstrate a strong work ethic and attention to detail.
- Undertake additional projects as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- At least 5+ years of relevant experience.
- Working knowledge of glass installation equipment and all grades of glass.
- Familiarity with local/national codes.
- Ability to read and install according to drawings/instructions.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to clear pre-employment screening.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Specific product certifications/licenses as required by national, state, and local codes.
- Vocational/Technical degree in a relevant field.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience in construction or custom glass, metal framework, and hardware industry is a plus.
- Experience with commercial installation services
Physical Requirements:
- Regularly required to stand, walk, sit, twist, use hands, reach, push, pull, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, talk, and hear.
- Must have good vision abilities (close, distance, peripheral, depth, color).
- Ability to lift, move, and hold up to approximately 50 lbs.
