What You'll Be Doing
- Set up and prepare CNC mills, lathes, grinders, and other precision machining equipment
- Read and interpret blueprints, CAD/CAM files, work orders, and tooling instructions
- Install, align, and secure tooling and workpieces for production
- Operate CNC equipment while monitoring machine performance and making adjustments as needed
- Perform first-piece inspections and verify parts meet exact specifications
- Use precision measuring instruments including calipers, micrometers, and gauges
- Replace worn tooling and maintain organized tooling inventory
- Complete setup sheets, production records, and quality documentation
- Perform routine machine maintenance and maintain a clean, safe work area
- Recommend process improvements to increase efficiency and productivity
What We're Looking For
- Minimum 2 years of CNC machine setup experience
- Experience with CNC mills, lathes, grinders, or similar machining equipment
- CAM programming knowledge preferred
- Strong blueprint reading skills
- Experience using precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges)
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to work independently while maintaining production standards
- Commitment to workplace safety and quality procedures
