The Carpenter Apprentice supports construction projects by assisting in the building, installation, and repair of structures and fixtures made from wood and other materials. This role involves hands-on work at job sites, including site preparation, cleanup, and proactive support for carpenters and superintendents.

- Assists Carpenters and Superintendents on job sites
- Measures, mark, and arrange materials according to blueprints or supervisor instructions
- Cut and shape wood, metal, plastic, fiberglass, and drywall
- Operate hand and power tools to construct assigned projects
- Join materials using nails, screws, staples, or adhesives
- Verify accuracy of work using levels, framing squares, and surveying equipment; make corrections as needed
- Erects and dismantles scaffolding
- Install fixtures, windows, and doors
- Follow local building codes and safety guidelines
- Clear debris and hazards to maintain a safe and clean worksite
- Performs other related duties as assigned
- Ability to follow directions and work independently or as part of a team
- Strong problem-solving skills, especially in math
- Proper care and use of carpentry tools
- Basic understanding of carpentry principles and construction methods
- Team-oriented mindset with a proactive attitude
- Completion of a vocational school, technical college, or formal apprenticeship program; OR
- 1–3 years of relevant on-the-job training
- Prolonged periods standing, climbing, bending, and kneeling
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time
- Must be able to safely work with sharp tools or power equipment.
- Must be able to work in a variety of weather conditions and terrains.
- Must have manual dexterity, a good sense of balance, and excellent hand-eye coordination.
