Responsibilities
- Welcome patients and provide excellent customer service
- Answer and direct incoming phone calls
- Schedule, reschedule, and confirm patient appointments
- Check patients in and out efficiently
- Verify insurance eligibility and update patient demographics
- Collect copays, deductibles, and outstanding balances
- Scan and upload patient documents into eClinicalWorks (eCW)
- Process referrals and medical records requests
- Manage incoming and outgoing faxes
- Respond to patient inquiries professionally and courteously
- Maintain patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations
- Perform general front office administrative duties
Qualifications
Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 1–2 years of medical receptionist or healthcare office experience
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Proficient with computers and Microsoft Office
- Professional, dependable, and team-oriented
Preferred:
- Experience with eClinicalWorks (eCW)
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Experience with insurance verification and referrals
- Bilingual is a plus
