Job Title: Task Lead and Senior International SOF Support SME
Place of Performance: Onsite at HQ USSOCOM, MacDill Air Force Base, Tampa, Florida
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversees day-to-day management and administration of all contract activities supporting the J3 International Division
- Develops detailed work plans, staffing schedules, and operational timelines aligned with J3 I mission objectives
- Assigns responsibilities to contractor personnel and ensures quality assurance of all deliverables
- Provides senior level expertise, advice, and insights regarding international Special Operations Forces support across the J3 I enterprise
- Supports J3 I leadership with strategic planning, program management, and alignment with Commander USSOCOM priorities
- Maintains timely and accurate global awareness of partner nation SOF capabilities, activities, and operational requirements
- Assists in integrating partner nation SOF capabilities into planning, operations, crisis response, and readiness events
- Develops measures of performance and measures of success for J3 I programs
- Mentors international SOF officers and senior enlisted personnel on USSOCOM culture, components, and operational headquarters
- Coordinates contractor travel, surge support, and operational readiness
- Prepares executive level briefings, reports, and planning documents
- Performs close out and escort duties in accordance with J3 I Security Procedures
Experience:
- Ten years of experience supporting SOF operations, international SOF integration, or joint operational planning
- Experience leading teams in high tempo operational environments
- Experience supporting senior military leaders with strategic planning and multinational coordination
- Senior (O5 or above) Army Special Forces officer with 15 years combined experience in operations and PN development at O6-command, TSOC, or NATO SOF HQ level.
- 1-year recent (last 5 years) combat/operational experience as part of combine joint special operations task force or TSOC staff
- Minimum 1 year of experience working with coalition SOF partners
- Joint Professional Military Education Level II or equivalent graduate
- Current DoW Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility.
Education:
- Master’s degree in international relations or related field
- Graduate of School of Advanced Military Studies (SAMS) or equivalent military planning course.
- Advanced professional experience may be substituted for education upon contractor intent to substitute
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite including Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Word, Teams, and SharePoint
- Experience preparing executive level briefings, operational reports, and strategic planning documents
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for senior leader engagements
- Ability to analyze SOF operational data, partner nation capabilities, and multinational planning inputs
Preferred Qualifications:
- Former SOF officer or senior enlisted
- Experience working within USSOCOM, TSOCs, or NATO SOF headquarters
- Experience mentoring international military personnel
- Experience supporting multinational planning forums such as GSOS, TRSF, or SCAF
Pay: $172,224.00 - $191,360.00 per year
