Assumption Catholic School is seeking a dependable and team-oriented Part-Time Cafeteria Worker to support the daily operation of the school lunch program. The Cafeteria Worker assists with food preparation, meal service, kitchen sanitation, and cleaning while helping provide a safe, efficient, and welcoming dining experience for students and staff.
- Assist with the preparation of food items for baking, grilling, reheating, and serving.
- Prepare salads, fresh fruits, vegetables, and other menu items according to established procedures.
- Serve meals to students and staff in a courteous and efficient manner.
- Assist with stocking and maintaining the serving line and steam tables.
- Clean steam tables, cookware, utensils, food preparation equipment, and kitchen work areas.
- Load, operate, and unload the commercial dishwasher.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness, sanitation, and food safety in accordance with health department guidelines.
- Assist with receiving, storing, and organizing food and kitchen supplies as needed.
- Work cooperatively with cafeteria staff to ensure smooth daily operations.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Cafeteria Supervisor.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous food service or cafeteria experience is required.
- Knowledge of basic food handling and sanitation practices.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- Reliable, punctual, and committed to providing excellent service.
