Job Purpose:
Manages, organizes and coordinates County fire inspections, prevention and fire code enforcement duties. Manages and supervises the activities of personnel assigned to the fire prevention division and serves as the County Fire Marshal. Plans review for all new commercial buildings to include renovations, additions, and installation. Ensures fire service permits are issued.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Manages work schedules and all work plans for each divisional area of the fire prevention bureau. Manages and directs all fire prevention divisional activities that deal with City, County, State and Federal agencies. Manages the operations of the inspections, fire education and code enforcement divisions. Performs plans review and permitting process. Coordinates with Fire Service division chiefs to review policy and procedures related to fire service activities. Facilitates the collection of building permits and planned projects for review from various County and municipal agencies. Performs Emergency Services and Operations support. Performs other similar duties as required.
Education:
Associate's degree.
Experience:
5-7 years of experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job.
Pay: $74,323.81 - $80,269.72 per year
