Key Qualifications:
- Active Colorado CDE Special Education (SPED) License with Generalist Endorsement (5-21) required
- License must read as: Professional Teacher License #000000 / Endorsed In: Special Education Generalist (5-21)
- Cannot consider substitute, temporary, or interim licenses unless SPED License with correct endorsement is already applied for (with proof)
- Demonstrated experience delivering instruction and accommodations for students with varying needs
- Deep knowledge of the IEP process and expertise in supporting students on individualized educational plans
- Preparedness to discuss classroom management, instructional strategies, and collaboration with other education professionals during the interview
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct special education instruction in accordance with students’ IEPs
- Implement effective strategies for students on alternative standards
- Maintain accurate records and documentation for compliance
