Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Offset Press Feeder Operator to join our vibrant manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for efficiently feeding and managing the paper or substrate into the offset printing press, ensuring high-quality output and smooth production flow. Duties
- Set up and operate offset printing presses, ensuring proper feeding of paper or other substrates for optimal print quality
- Monitor press operation throughout the production run, making adjustments to maintain color accuracy, registration, and overall quality
- Conduct routine maintenance and troubleshooting on printing equipment to minimize downtime and ensure safety standards are met
- Collaborate with prepress teams to review print files, color management settings, and layout specifications before production begins
- Perform quality control checks during printing runs, inspecting for color consistency, registration accuracy, and defect detection
- Maintain detailed logs of press operation, adjustments made, and production outcomes for reporting purposes
- Assist with inventory management of printing supplies such as inks, plates, and substrates
Skills
- Strong understanding of offset press operation and feeding techniques
- Knowledge of screen printing processes and flexo press operations is a plus
- Proficiency in prepress workflows including layout design, typography, and color management using Adobe Creative Suite tools
- Experience with CNC machinery or machining processes relevant to print manufacturing is advantageous
- Familiarity with quality control standards in print advertising and packaging industries
- Ability to troubleshoot mechanical issues on presses and perform basic repairs or adjustments
- Skills in graphic design principles and layout design to ensure accurate reproduction of artwork
- Competence in operating forklifts for material handling within the production area
- Understanding of CNC technology applications in print manufacturing environments
