Duties
- Greet guests warmly, provide menus, and answer questions about food and beverage options with enthusiasm.
- Take accurate orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS, ensuring timely delivery.
- Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation and cleanliness.
- Upsell menu items and specials to enhance guest experience and increase sales.
- Manage tables responsibly, including bussing, resetting, and maintaining cleanliness throughout service.
- Handle cash transactions accurately using POS systems, process payments, and give correct change.
- Maintain food safety standards by adhering to sanitation protocols and proper food handling procedures.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure orders are prepared correctly and promptly.
- Use reservation management tools like OpenTable to assist with guest seating arrangements.
- Provide excellent guest relations by addressing needs promptly and courteously, ensuring a memorable visit.
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments preferred; fine dining or nightclub experience is a plus.
- Proficiency with POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, and OpenTable is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and proper food handling practices.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to upsell effectively.
- Ability to manage time efficiently during busy service periods while maintaining attention to detail.
- Basic math skills for cash handling and cashiering responsibilities.
- Experience in serving or host/hostess roles within the food industry is advantageous.
- Culinary or kitchen experience can be beneficial for understanding food preparation processes.
- Must be able to stand for extended periods, lift moderate weights, and work flexible hours including nights.
