Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our company as an employee or outside service. This position is currently part time but if a full time position is desired other administrative duties will be provided.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and update accurate records of all financial transactions using accounting software including QuickBooks and Management-Pro (in house training available for Management Pro.
- Perform bank reconciliations regularly to ensure consistency between bank statements and internal records.
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable efficiently, ensuring timely payments and collections.
- Prepare journal entries, ledger postings, and general ledger reconciliations in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
- Manage payroll processing by accurately calculating wages, deductions, and benefits while ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
- Support month-end and year-end closing activities by preparing financial reports and summaries for review.
- Assist with budgeting, financial report writing, and maintaining detailed spreadsheets for various projects or organizational needs.
- Bill the internal audits on a weekly basis.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar accounting role.
- Strong proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks.
- Solid understanding of accounting principles including double entry bookkeeping, debits & credits, journal entries, and account reconciliation processes.
- Experience with financial software integration, general ledger accounting, balance sheet reconciliation, and technical accounting concepts.
- Excellent skills in spreadsheets (Excel), 10-key typing, and data entry accuracy.
- Knowledge of payroll processing procedures.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail; ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently under deadlines.
Pay: $22.00 - $31.00 per hour
Expected hours: 1.0 – 15.0 per week
