Responsibilities
- Operate point-of-sale (POS) systems accurately to process sales, returns, and exchanges
- Handle cash, credit card transactions, and other payment methods with precision and integrity
- Greet customers warmly, answer questions, and provide product information or demos when needed
- Assist in merchandising efforts by stocking shelves, organizing displays, and ensuring product availability
- Maintain a clean and organized checkout area to promote a professional shopping experience
- Upsell related products or promotions to enhance customer satisfaction and store sales
- Demonstrate excellent phone etiquette when assisting customers over the phone or via online inquiries
Qualifications
- Prior cashiering experience or familiarity with POS systems is preferred but not required; training will be provided
- Strong communication skills in English; bilingual abilities are a plus to serve diverse customers effectively
- Experience with retail sales, merchandising, stocking, or grocery store operations is advantageous
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and retail math calculations
- Demonstrated customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor
- Supervising experience is beneficial for those interested in leadership opportunities within the team
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate loads comfortably
