Position Summary
Lamar Truck Sales is seeking a hands-on, detail-oriented Lot Manager to oversee the day-to-day management of dealership inventory and lot operations. This individual will play a critical role in ensuring that vehicles move efficiently from acquisition to customer delivery while maintaining accurate inventory records and supporting a positive customer experience.
The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, takes ownership of operational responsibilities, and is equally comfortable working outdoors on the lot and utilizing dealership systems to maintain accurate records. This position requires someone who is proactive, organized, and willing to roll up their sleeves to ensure dealership operations run smoothly.

Purpose
- Oversee inventory movement and lot operations.
- Maintain DealerCenter accuracy and inventory integrity.
- Coordinate vehicle readiness and transportation logistics.
- Ensure online inventory listings remain current and accurate.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive and inspect incoming inventory for accuracy and completeness.
- Coordinate movement of vehicles between locations, auctions, repair facilities, and the dealership.
- Maintain accurate inventory records within DealerCenter.
- Remove sold inventory promptly and update vehicle status accordingly.
- Photograph vehicles and ensure listings accurately reflect available inventory.
- Coordinate detailing, repairs, inspections, and vehicle preparation activities.
- Work with transport companies and service vendors regarding pickups, deliveries, and repair timelines.
- Conduct periodic inventory audits to ensure accuracy.
- Communicate inventory updates and vehicle availability to leadership and the sales team.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience in dealership operations, inventory management, or related fields.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) required.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Basic computer proficiency and willingness to learn dealership software systems.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple responsibilities.
- Dealership or inventory management experience preferred.
- Mechanically inclined preferred.
- Experience with DealerCenter or similar systems preferred.
Schedule
- Monday–Friday: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- Saturday: 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM
- Sunday: Off
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Ability to bend, lift, push, and pull as required by daily tasks.
- Ability to safely operate dealership inventory vehicles.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally
This is a 1099, hourly position.
Pay: $23.00 - $28.00 per hour
