American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg travel contract in Wilson, NC, requiring a minimum of 2 years of experience and Meditech proficiency.

Inpatient Med/Surg unit at a 294-bed, Joint Commission Accredited hospital within the Duke LifePoint Health system
-
Floors located on the 3rd and 5th levels, each with 22 beds
-
Adult and geriatric patient population
-
Patient-to-nurse ratio of 6:1 up to 7:1

Common diagnoses and treatments include surgical cases, PD exchanges, line/tube placements, and psych
-
Telemetry equipment in use
-
EMR: Meditech (experience required)
-
12-hour day shifts, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
-
Every other weekend required
-
No on-call requirements
-
Floating required as a second nurse to Telemetry and the ED
-
13-week contract
-
Active RN license in NC or a Compact state currently in hand

Current AHA certifications: BLS and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)

Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg RN experience required

Associate's degree in Nursing (ADN) or higher required

Meditech EMR experience required

Candidates must reside 60+ miles from the facility to qualify for the travel pay rate

Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration

Care for adult and geriatric patients across surgical, medical, and psychiatric service lines

Orientation runs on a bi-weekly schedule

Any color scrubs are acceptable

Candidates must not have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months

Cannot be employed full-time elsewhere during the assignment
