Cool Cat Fence is a fast-growing residential fencing company committed to delivering exceptional craftsmanship and an outstanding customer experience. As we continue to grow, we are looking for an experienced Operations Manager to lead our operations and build a high-performing, accountable team.
Position Overview
The Operations Manager is responsible for the day-to-day performance of branch operations, including installation crews, scheduling, quality control, and customer issue resolution.
This role requires a strong leader who can develop people, create accountability, improve processes, and ensure projects are completed efficiently, profitably, and to Cool Cat Fence standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, coach, and hold the operations team accountable for performance.
- Oversee installation crews, scheduling, and daily production.
- Ensure projects are completed on time and meet Cool Cat Fence quality standards.
- Monitor crew productivity, labor efficiency, installation capacity, and job performance.
- Improve scheduling and maximize crew utilization.
- Resolve operational issues and escalated customer concerns quickly and professionally.
- Reduce installation errors, callbacks, rework, and preventable delays.
- Develop supervisors and team members into stronger leaders.
- Track operational KPIs and create action plans when performance falls below expectations.
- Improve processes and systems to increase efficiency, profitability, and scalability.
- Work closely with Sales, Customer Service, and leadership to ensure smooth project handoffs and communication.
- Build a culture of ownership, accountability, urgency, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of operations, construction, home improvement, or field-service experience preferred.
- 3+ years of leadership or management experience.
- Proven ability to lead teams and hold people accountable.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience managing scheduling, field crews, and multiple projects simultaneously.
- Understanding of labor efficiency, productivity, and operational KPIs.
- Ability to handle customer escalations and make confident decisions.
- Experience in fencing, construction, or home services is preferred.

Pay: $80,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
