Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Overnight Caregiver to provide exceptional support to one adult with special needs during late afternoon/evening/overnight hours, and weekend shifts as needed. The ideal candidate will be energetic, patient, and proactive, ready to handle a variety of caregiving responsibilities with enthusiasm and professionalism. This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the life of an individual with developmental disability. Client sleeps all night, but family would like to have more flexibility with travel or staying out, etc.
Responsibilities:
- Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), such as toileting, grooming, dressing, etc.
- Administer medications accurately following care plans while adhering to HIPAA regulations to ensure privacy and confidentiality.
- Prepare nutritious meals or snacks suitable for client's dietary needs, supporting proper nutrition and hydration.
- Maintain detailed documentation of care provided and medication administration.
- Perform light cleaning duties and laundry.
Skills
- Proven experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health environments supporting individuals with disabilities or neurodevelopmental disorders.
- Compassionate caregiving approach with experience supporting individuals with autism or intellectual disabilities across home & community care settings.
- Ability to work independently during overnight shifts while maintaining high standards of patient care and safety and ability to follow routine and meet expectations.
This job is would be for late afternoon/evenings/overnight shifts as needed to give the family more life flexibility and allow the client more independence.
Pay: From $32.00 per hour
