Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in various types of truck driving, including but not limited to tractor-trailer. This position involves transporting aggregate safely and efficiently while adhering to all traffic laws and company policies. The Truck Driver will play a crucial role in ensuring timely deliveries and maintaining the integrity of freight during transit.
Responsibilities
- Operate commercial vehicles, including tractor-trailers, and dump trucks, in a safe and efficient manner.
- Navigate routes effectively to ensure timely delivery of product to designated locations.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, mileage, and fuel consumption as per DOT regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
- Adhere to all safety protocols while on the road and while loading/unloading cargo.
Qualifications
- Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) Class A
- Proven experience in truck driving with a strong understanding of route driving and delivery driver responsibilities.
- Familiarity with manual transmission vehicles is a must.
- Experience operating side dumps, belly dumps and/or dump trucks is advantageous.
