Position Summary
The CDL Driver (Class B) is responsible for the safe, timely, and accurate delivery of roofing materials to customer job sites, warehouses, and branch locations. This position plays a critical role in providing excellent customer service while ensuring compliance with all DOT regulations, company safety standards, and delivery procedures.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Safely operate company vehicles requiring a Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL)
- Deliver roofing materials and related products to customer job sites and company locations
- Load, unload, and secure materials using proper safety procedures and equipment
- Inspect delivery loads to ensure accuracy and prevent damage during transport
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and complete required documentation
- Maintain compliance with all Department of Transportation (DOT), FMCSA, OSHA, and company regulations
- Assist with warehouse duties, including loading/unloading trucks, stocking inventory, and maintaining a clean work environment, as needed
- Communicate professionally with customers, dispatch, warehouse personnel, and management
- Collect signatures, delivery confirmations, and other required paperwork
- Report accidents, vehicle issues, delays, or safety concerns immediately
- Operate forklifts, piggyback forklifts (Moffett), or other material handling equipment, if certified
- Follow all company policies and safety procedures at all times
- Provide excellent customer service while representing the company professionally
Qualifications
- Valid Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with acceptable driving record
- Current Medical Examiner’s Certificate (DOT Medical Card)
- Minimum of 2 years of commercial driving experience preferred
- Experience delivering building or roofing materials preferred
- Ability to safely operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment preferred
- Knowledge of DOT regulations and safe driving practices
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Dependable, punctual, and safety-oriented
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 100 pounds with assistance as needed
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, climbing, and reaching
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Ability to climb on and off trucks and secure loads safely
- Ability to sit and drive for extended periods
Work Environment
- Outdoor job sites, warehouse environments, and road travel
- Exposure to varying temperatures, dust, noise, and construction site conditions
- Overtime and occasional weekend work may be required based on business needs
Pay: $22.00 - $27.00 per hour

Experience:
