Overview
Join our dynamic team as a CDL Equipment Hauler and take on an energetic role that keeps our operations moving smoothly! In this position, you will be responsible for safely transporting a variety of heavy equipment, including flatbeds, tanker trucks, refrigerated trailers, and roll-off trucks, across designated routes. Your expertise in truck driving and equipment handling will ensure timely delivery and secure load management. This role offers a fast-paced environment where your skills in commercial driving and load & unload procedures make a real impact every day.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate tractor-trailers with manual transmissions to transport heavy equipment and freight across multiple routes.
- Load and unload equipment using appropriate tools such as forklifts or roll-off trucks, ensuring secure placement for transit.
- Drive various types of trailers including refrigerated, flatbed, tanker, dump trucks, and roll-off trucks to meet delivery schedules.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to verify vehicle safety, including checking brakes, lights, tires, and load security.
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, routes taken, and cargo details in compliance with federal regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients to coordinate delivery times and address any route or equipment issues promptly.
- Follow all safety protocols and traffic laws to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others.
Experience
- Proven experience operating commercial vehicles with manual transmissions in a professional setting.
- Prior delivery driver experience involving freight transportation, route driving, or equipment hauling preferred.
- Familiarity with handling different trailer types such as refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks, and roll-off trucks.
- Ability to load and unload freight efficiently using forklifts or other lifting equipment.
- Knowledge of safety standards related to trucking operations and cargo securement regulations.
- Valid CDL license with necessary endorsements for hauling specialized equipment or hazardous materials is highly desirable.
