CAC's science and engineering division collects adjunct applications on an ongoing basis for our science (astronomy, biology, chemistry, environmental science, geology, physics) and engineering offerings. For spring 2026 teaching, we are especially interested in applications from people qualified to teach lower-division biology classes, especially anatomy & physiology (BIO160, 201, 202).
EDUCATION:

Master's degree in the discipline or subfield or

Master's degree in any field with 18 graduate semester hours in the discipline or subfield or

In disciplines where a master's degree is not offered and the doctorate is the terminal degree, or where the candidate has opted not to receive a master's degree during the course of study for the doctorate degree as a terminal degree, or where all but the dissertations (ABD) of a doctorate degree has been obtained, 24 graduate semester hours in the discipline or subfield are required.
EXPERIENCE: Varies by discipline and by specialized accreditation agency
All applicants must be at least 18 years of age or older to be considered for this position.
Compensation: $900/credit hour
