Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior Field Service Technician to join our EPD Services team. In this role, you will deliver high-quality technical field services for electrical power and control systems at customer sites across commercial and industrial environments.
You will be responsible for installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, maintenance, and customer support while serving as a lead technician and mentor to team members. This role requires strong technical expertise, professionalism, and the ability to travel extensively. When not in the field, you will support production activities and continuous improvement initiatives.
Duties
- Install, configure, test, and service EPD products and related equipment
- Perform commissioning, startup, and maintenance of electrical systems
- Troubleshoot and resolve system and equipment issues in the field
- Represent the company professionally at customer sites
- Maintain safe, clean, and organized work environments
- Document and report service activities, including timelines and outcomes
- Mentor and train team members, customers, and stakeholders
- Support production activities when not assigned to field work
- Contribute to continuous improvement and operational quality initiatives
- Interact professionally with clients and internal teams
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent (required)
- 2–5 years of experience in electrical or mechanical field service work
- Production or manufacturing experience (preferred)
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 80%
Skills & Knowledge
- Proficiency with 120V–15KV electrical systems
- Strong knowledge of 3-phase systems, motors, transformers, and VFDs
- Ability to read and interpret technical schematics and documentation
- Hands-on experience with troubleshooting electrical and mechanical systems
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office and ability to learn internal systems
- Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, and test equipment
- Analytical, adaptable, and solution-oriented mindset
- Physical ability to perform fieldwork (standing, bending, kneeling, etc.)
Preferred Certifications
- Valid passport
- OSHA 10-Hour Certification
- Houston Area Safety Council (HASC) Safety Essentials
- First Aid / CPR / AED Certification
- Site-specific safety and PPE certifications
