Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable, compassionate and dedicated CNA or Home Health Aide to provide essential care and support to individuals in our Assisted Living homes. The ideal candidate will have a positive can-do spirit to assist clients with daily living activities. You are responsible for ensuring their comfort and safety, while promoting their independence. This role requires a strong understanding of patient care, as well as the ability to work effectively with diverse populations, including seniors and individuals with disabilities.
Duties
- Assist clients with personal care tasks, including bathing, grooming, and dressing.
- Provide companionship and engage clients in meaningful activities to promote mental well-being.
- Help with household tasks such as cleaning, cooking, and laundry to maintain a safe and healthy living environment.
- Support clients with mobility needs, including lifting and transferring them as necessary.
- Monitor and document client health status, including any changes in condition or behavior.
- Assist with medical needs such as catheter care and administering prescribed medications under supervision.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation as required by healthcare protocols.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for clients.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in home care, long-term care, or memory care settings is highly desirable.
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting clients and engaging in cleaning duties.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients, families, and healthcare teams.
- Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others improve their quality of life.
- Must have cooking skills to prepare nutritious meals for clients as needed.
- Certification in CPR is preferred.
